The new book from author, J. Allan Ross, Sow Shall You Reap

Here is an excerpt from the Preface:

If you were to mentally thumb through the titles of books and movies you love, it is likely that many would have roots in the age-old plot of “good guy” versus “bad guy.” Years ago, when I first watched the Peter Jackson movie adaptation of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-03), it was delightfully satisfying to me for the Eye of Sauron to short-circuit and implode. I would guess that most viewers, like me, also received contentment when the remaining members of the Fellowship of the Ring were given recognition for their relentless efforts. We had waited for hours to watch those two things happen. Even though many of us knew it was going to take place, it still brought a bit of relief to see things resolved in this way.

Novels and films often create a palpable tension. It escalates through the course of the story until the “bad guy” finally gets what is coming to him/her and the “good guy” gets what he/she earned. We can probably think of many books and movies that follow this pattern. Why are we so gratified by knowing that the tale is settled in this way? It is because the Law of Sowing and Reaping is at work in real life, and we know it...

...There is a veiled debate over whether the Law of Reciprocity— also known as sowing and reaping—is even real. There is a societal undercurrent that seems to be eroding away our faith in this law and its implications. However, the voice of the Law of Sowing and Reaping, no matter how ignored or discredited in our world, will go on speaking, because its voice is only an echo of a greater Voice— the Voice that spoke life into existence. That Voice is the glue that holds everything together. It will never fade into oblivion. If that Voice ever did cease, the entire Universe would likely disintegrate. Imagine the major systems that run our galaxy collapsing, its planets spinning out of control, and the Earth either being incinerated or frozen solid depending on whether it had moved a small distance closer or farther away from the sun. We would not even be around to contemplate our lives. Neither the Voice of God nor its echoes can ever be extinguished, because God is eternal and all-powerful. It is important to understand the Law of Reciprocity.

Understanding this law and its paradigm empowers us to live in a cooperative way with its uncontrollable force. Like gravity, the invisible and ever-present Law of Sowing and Reaping goes into motion when we take action. It either works for us or against us, depending on our decisions. Plus, it is involved with everything from conceiving a child to planting a garden. This law has great importance...
